Use all your senses!
One week, five senses, and countless ways to connect with the ocean! In May 2026, ACTeon had the pleasure of coordinating BlueSenses, a collective initiative bringing together science, art, education and local communities during the European Maritime Day celebrations in Cyprus. Today, we are delighted to revisit these special moments and share our BlueSenses Photobook, capturing the creativity, enthusiasm and connections that made this experience so memorable!

From 18 to 24 May 2026, BlueSenses invited people of all ages to see, hear, touch, taste and feel the ocean through a rich programme of activities across Limassol, Larnaca and beyond.
Interactive games, artistic workshops, storytelling, music, exhibitions, encounters with fishers, discussions on marine conservation and hands-on ocean education activities offered fresh perspectives on our relationship with the sea. By bringing together researchers, artists, educators, ocean professionals and citizens, BlueSenses demonstrated how creativity and shared experiences can inspire ocean literacy and encourage action for a healthier ocean.
BlueSenses was an incredible human adventure, made possible by the energy, generosity and commitment of all our partners.
And now, the memories live on!
We are delighted to share our BlueSenses Photobook, a visual journey through the smiles, discoveries, inspiring encounters and unforgettable moments we experienced together.
Also, you can relive the magic of BlueSenses through this short video, capturing the creativity, joy, inspiring encounters and shared passion for the ocean that made our May 2026 adventure in Cyprus so unforgettable!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our ACTeon team (Pierre Strosser, Olga Mashkina, Alicia Bichon, Nicolas Weiller and Colin Mange) and our partners, artists, volunteers, participants and everyone who contributed to making BlueSenses such a unique collective experience. Together, we showed that connecting people to the ocean can be educational, meaningful, creative — and a lot of fun!
