The Next BlueGeneration introduces an innovative approach to cultivate students’ interest in the Blue Economy and inspire them to pursue a career in this field, becoming the next BlueGeneration. The aim of the project is to empower educators in secondary, vocational, and tertiary education by developing state-of-the-art digital tools designed to enable them to effectively navigate their students towards a future in the Blue Economy as well as to offer students interactive, gamified experiences to explore the Blue Economy and identify personalized career pathways.

Ambition & Objectifs
The main goal of this project is to raise awareness among young people about Blue Career opportunities as well as to equip teachers with the tools needed to provide career guidance to their students, inspiring them to pursue a career in this field.
This goal will be accomplished by achieving the following objectives:
- uild an up-to-date dataset on career and training opportunities across five sectors of the Blue Economy: Nautical Tourism, Maritime Transport, Marine Biotechnology, Aquaculture, and Marine Conservation.
- Provide career guidance to youth in finding a place in the Blue Economy through the creation of the BlueGeneration game, an online gamification tool designed for skills self-assessment.
- Assist students in identifying personalized career pathways in the Blue Economy through the development of an interactive Blue Career Pathway Tool.
- Develop an accessible online course (MOOC)for teachers, educators, and trainers with foundational information on Blue Careers that can reinforce the guidance provided by the Blue Careers Pathway Tool and the BlueGeneration Game.
