CONTEXT
Mip4adapt’s mission is to evaluate the progress of the Adaptation mission, to facilitate and lead the community of practice of European local authorities on the theme of adaptation to climate change, to facilitate the alignment of local and regional adaptation policies with European frameworks and methodologies, to share methodologies and guides to facilitate adaptation to climate change, and to offer personalised technical assistance to local authorities.
In this context, Acteon is providing technical assistance tailored to the needs of the regions of Sud, Normandie, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Hauts-de-France, Occitanie and Centre-Val de Loire, as well as the metropolises and cities of Rouen, La Rochelle, Paris, Lille, Nantes, Angers, Grenoble, Bordeaux and Strasbourg. Mip4adapt also communicates on local initiatives and scientific work in progress, and organises the annual Adaptation Forum.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of the technical assistance is threefold:
- To advise local authorities on drawing up their climate change adaptation strategy through coaching, critical analyses of vulnerability assessments and action plans already in place.
- Helping to identify dedicated funding for experimental adaptation projects and assisting with the preparation of funding applications.
- Supporting and facilitating stakeholder processes and mobilising stakeholders.
