CONTEXT
The body of documentation under analysis spans a period of 15 years (late 2010 to late 2025). It covers three SDAGE cycles (2010–2015; 2016–2021; 2022–2027) and comprises a total of 289 documentary and multimedia references. These publications, described as ‘technical’, are not generally aimed directly at the general public, but are instead intended for specific audiences involved in implementing the objectives of the SDAGE and the Water Agency’s policy (local authorities, associations, government departments, consultancy firms).
The mission is organised in three successive phases:
- Understanding (the technical publications, writing practices, dissemination and knowledge valorisation, and the Agency’s strategic positioning)
- Assessing (the knowledge needs of target audiences, their use of the Agency’s technical publications, and accessibility challenges)
- Transforming (the knowledge-sharing policy and the Agency’s internal processes).
OBJECTIVES
The mission aims to formulate well-argued, actionable, and prioritised recommendations to improve the valorisation and strengthen the impact of the Agency’s technical publications:
- Measure the effectiveness of the current communication, dissemination, and knowledge valorisation framework;
- Analyse the practices, expectations, and perceptions of the target audiences for these technical publications;
- Identify barriers to the visibility, accessibility, and effective uptake of the technical publications and the messages they convey;
- Benchmark the Agency’s practices against those of other institutional or non-profit organisations.
